AI + Energy Hackathon

With over 40 attendees from all across the UK, the hackathon covered Diverse AI’s projects, Energy Systems Catapult’s focus - GridFlex, Marmot Energy’s objective, and the AI applications developed during the hackathon.

Attendees were split into two goups: techies and non-techies. The following AI applications were built across both groups:

💠 A voice chatbot called “Globe Voice AI” - a multilingual myth-busting voice assistant powered by ethical AI. Globe Voice AI key themes of diversity, fairness and inclusivity at its core, ensuring an accessible and welcome experience for everyone
💠 An explanatory AI dashboard using Streamlit - Breaking down heat pump usage, the process included diverse data, user personas and inclusive design ideas resulting in simple and clear explanations for automated heat-pump scenarios. This also includes quantified benefits and a chatbot trained to answer only heat-pump related questions
💠 An explanatory heat pump AI application - showing user metrics while ensuring explainability and transparency.
